Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Datatrent ("Datatrent," "we," "us"), a service of Soto Digital Holding LLC, collects, uses, shares and protects information. It covers two distinct categories: (a) information about visitors to datatrent.com and customers of our service, and (b) business contact information about U.S. business entities — sourced from public business filings and lawful business data sources — that we aggregate and provide to our B2B customers as part of our core product.
1. Who we are
Datatrent is operated by Soto Digital Holding LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Saint Cloud, Florida, United States. We provide business-level contact intelligence on newly-formed U.S. business entities to B2B customers including insurance brokers, business banks, lenders, payment processors, accountants, payroll providers, and registered agent services.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to:
- Visitor and customer information — data we collect when you visit datatrent.com, submit a contact or sample-request form, or purchase data from us.
- Business contact information in our data products — business-level data we aggregate from public business filings and licensed third-party business data sources, and provide to B2B customers as part of our service.
Different sections below address each category. For a detailed description of where the business contact data comes from, see our Data Sources & Compliance page.
3. Information we collect from website visitors
When you interact with datatrent.com, we collect:
- Form submissions — name, work email, company name, your inquiry text, and any other fields you complete.
- Technical metadata — IP address, browser type, referrer, and timestamps, used for spam prevention and basic analytics.
- Communications — the content of emails or messages you send to us, retained for service and recordkeeping.
We do not use behavioral advertising trackers. We do not sell visitor data to third parties for advertising.
4. Cookies and analytics
Datatrent uses minimal cookies and tracking. Specifically:
- Strictly necessary — to enable basic site functionality (form submission, security).
- Basic analytics — to understand aggregate site usage. No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies.
If we add additional analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and provide cookie controls where required by law.
5. Information in our data products
Our records consist of business contact information sourced from public business filings (state business registries) and lawful business data sources. As part of our service to B2B customers, we aggregate and provide records that include:
- Business entity name, type (LLC, Corp, DBA), filing date, and state of registration
- Business contact name and title (Manager, Member, Officer, etc.) as listed in the public business filing
- Business phone numbers and business email associated with that business contact
- Business address and mailing address; location type (office / commercial / registered)
- Industry classification
- For Premium "Confirmed Intent" records: a recorded voice consent call with the business contact
For details on how we obtain this business information lawfully, see Data Sources & Compliance.
6. How we use information
We use information for:
- Providing the Datatrent service (delivering data records to B2B customers)
- Responding to inquiries and supporting customers
- Verifying data accuracy and improving quality
- Operating, securing, and improving datatrent.com
- Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms
7. Who we share information with
We share information only as described below:
- With our B2B customers — the records you purchase are delivered to you. Each record is subject to our exclusivity terms (see Terms of Service).
- With service providers — including our hosting provider, email service, payment processor (Stripe), and analytics vendors. They are bound by contract to use information only to perform services for us.
- When required by law — in response to valid legal process, to protect rights, or to comply with regulatory obligations.
- In a business transaction — if Datatrent is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of the transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not sell datatrent.com visitor information for advertising or other unrelated purposes.
